People who bought into Trump’s slogan would agree that the economy was one of the biggest reasons why they voted for Trump. The people who voted for him and supported him all throughout his time as President would all agree that part of what makes America great and what made America great, was a booming economy that had its own agenda and was not being manipulated by China. All throughout Trump’s campaign and Presidency, he was committed to bringing back jobs to the United States, lowering the unemployment rate, lowering taxes, and raising tariffs. One of the many commonplaces that can be interpreted from “Make America Great Again” is a great economy. Without this slogan, I don’t believe that President Trump have had as good of a chance to have that title, as he did with it. This power of pathos is sometimes unbeatable because the power of effective persuasion is very strong. Trump really went for the people’s hearts as he was campaigning for his Presidency, and it really paid off. “Make America Great Again” made people go back to the past to their “good old days” to when everyone had a great pride for the red, white and blue. ![]() The saying really resided with people and it made them intrigued. Trump’s saying spread across the country very quickly and to some people it was a bad thing, but to a large majority, it hit home.
